ooh, i've been one quiet diarylander. as usual, things have happened that i should've written about at the time but now seem so distant that it seems silly to talk about them at all. exams went, and not too badly i hope. i think i get results this time next week and i pretty much want them now.
i went to rome with boyfriendio, which was ace. stayed the first night with his italian grandfather, who speaks no english and neither of us speak italian. boyfriendio understands loads, but speaks none, and has no excuse for his laziness in the linguistics department. i, on the other hand, have just forgotten everything i ever knew. but hopefully it will all be revived in the coming year. thankfully for the both of us his father who speaks italian and english fluently was there to help out.
it was molto hot in rome, but nice. a little too loud for my liking, which is suprising for a london girl like me, what with me living above a main road about a minute from a fire station. no suntan though or sunburn, due to the delights of sunblock. we did all the touristy things and then on the last day i almost had some kind of exploding with excitement when i saw a large banner with the word MUNCH on it... turns out there was only a frigging exhibition on! finally got to see a decent amount of his work and it was fucking ace beyond words. it wasn't the most top notch of his works (and i must say the munch museum in oslo must be postively empty what with all the loans it's doing at the moment), but it was still fantastic.
oh, and the st peter's in vatican city is HUGE. go there last if you do go to rome as it makes all subsequent churches you might visit look rubbish by comparison.
am feeling very very odd at the moment, very much like i'm on some serious drugs. things are swirly, and its not entirely fun. have been feeling quite sick for the last hour, but i think that was hunger. not hungry any more though so i don't know what my body's playing at. ah well, it will soon be mixed in with the effects of alcohol, as today is the day of getting very very drunk.
given the dizzy, swirly feeling i think i'll stop now.
